Summer Youth Program

Home » Summer Youth Program

More than 100 children are able to take advantage of a 7 week summer breakfast and lunch program through Redeemer Crisis Center. During the mornings, volunteers and youth workers reach out with the Good News of Jesus through a VBS program of Bible stories, songs, crafts, field trips, and presenters. It is a goal that at the program’s end every participant receives a book bag filled with necessary school supplies for the new school year. Youth workers in this program are teens and young adults 14 – 19 years old assigned to positions as a job experience complete with applications, interviews, responsibilities, expectations and small stipends. The workers use their “pay checks” to purchase school clothes.
